Northwest Habitat Institute’s GIS Digital Library and Repository for the Columbia River Basin
Independent
The GIS Repository houses historic and current natural resources information for the Columbia River Basin and the Pacific Northwest. The data sets include: wildlife-habitats, fish and wildlife species distributions, key ecological functions, ownership, management protection status, land use and vegetation cover, forest cover, and EDT Stream Reach data. These data sets are at multiple scales of resolution. The Northwest Habitat Institute actively pursues all GIS data that is in support of subbasin planning and high-level indicators; this also includes project data. Additional GIS data are also available in the Ecoprovince and Subbasin Planning sections of IBIS. All GIS data sets have metadata and are in either an Arc/GIS coverage or Arc/GIS Export format unless otherwise noted.
